The National Basketball Association is back in action on the NBC Sports Regional Networks, which are presenting exclusive regional coverage of more than 360 combined games during the 2023-24 regular season, which began this week. NBC Sports Bay Area, NBC Sports Boston, NBC Sports California, NBC Sports Chicago, and NBC Sports Philadelphia will also deliver extensive NBA gameday news, analysis and commentary shows, original programming, and comprehensive multimedia digital content through the regular-season, new in-season tournament and playoffs.
The NBC Sports Regional Networks feature some of the NBA’s top teams and brightest stars. They include All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics – a team that appeared in last year’s Eastern Conference Finals; reigning NBA MVP Joel Embiid and the powerhouse Philadelphia 76ers; four-time NBA champion and two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors; veteran all-star guard DeMar DeRozan and the Chicago Bulls; and all-star De'Aaron Fox and the upstart Sacramento Kings, a team that last season earned a postseason berth for the first time since 2006.
NBC Sports Bay Area will present 70 regular-season contests during the Warriors’ 2023-24 campaign.
For the 28th consecutive season, Bob Fitzgerald will serve play-by-play announcer, who will once again be joined by former Warrior Kelenna Azubuike, who’s entering his fifth season as game analyst. The network will also provide extensive coverage surrounding games with Warriors Pregame Live and Warriors Postgame Live. The one-hour shows will be led by host Bonta Hill, with Basketball Hall of Famer Chris Mullin and former Warriors Festus Ezeli and Dorell Wright as analysts. In addition, the 30-minute Dubs Talk Live with Kerith Burke and Monte Poole will follow Warriors Postgame Live.
NBC Sports Boston’s regular-season coverage of the Celtics is highlighted by 70 live games.
NBC Sports Boston’s live games will again be headlined play-by-play announcer Mike Gorman – who is entering his 43rd and final season in this role – former Celtic analyst Brian Scalabrine as game analyst, and in-game reporter Abby Chin. New to the roster this season is Drew Carter, who will serve as play-by-play commentator for road games this season. Amina Smith and Eddie House will lead Celtics Pregame Live and Celtics Postgame Live, with Celtics reporter Chris Forsberg contributing to the shows.
NBC Sports California will televise 77 Kings games this season.
The live coverage will be led by play-by-play announcers Mark Jones and Kyle Draper – who both joined NBC Sports California in 2020 – and game analyst Kayte Christensen, who’s entering her third season. NBC Sports California’s live gameday programs, Kings Pregame Live and Kings Postgame Live, will be hosted by Draper with Kenny Thomas and Matt Barnes as analysts. Morgan Ragan will host when Draper is calling the game.
NBC Sports Chicago’s 78-game regular-season schedule of live Bulls games.
These games will feature play-by-play announcer Adam Amin and three-time NBA Champion Stacey King as analyst, who will be joined by Bulls Insider K.C. Johnson for home game telecasts this season. Bulls Pregame Live and Bulls Postgame Live will surround games for comprehensive news, analysis and interviews. The gameday shows will be hosted by Jason Goff and will include analysts Kendall Gill and Will Perdue, both former Bulls.
NBC Sports Philadelphia will deliver 68 games featuring the 76ers during the 2023-24 season.
Play-by-play announcer Kate Scott returns for her third season leading live coverage of the 76ers, who will be joined by analyst Alaa Abdelnaby, a former 76ers player entering his ninth season with NBC Sports Philadelphia. Taryn Hatcher will provide reporting and interview for select games. NBC Sports Philadelphia will continue to surround live 76ers games with gameday programs Sixers Pregame Live and Sixers Postgame Live, hosted by Amy Fadool and featuring analysts Jim Lynam and Marc Jackson.
