Dateline will premiere Spanish-language episodes on Telemundo starting this Saturday at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT, bringing viewers a new way to watch the true crime original’s distinctive storytelling. Hosted by Noticias Telemundo anchor Julio Vaqueiro, the special encores of Dateline mark the first time the newsmagazine is expanding to translate episodes fully in another language.
Saturday’s broadcast, entitled Un Largo Camino, will reveal how a determined investigator and prosecutor in Orange County worked to solve a 20-year-old murder case, even though those involved in the gruesome crime thought they had buried the secrets of the past.
“We are very excited about this new collaboration with our colleagues at NBC News and look forward to bringing Dateline’s award-winning storytelling and in-depth investigations to our Spanish-language audience,” said Noticias Telemundo anchor Julio Vaqueiro.
Featured by The Hollywood Reporter as “America’s top-rated true crime TV series and podcast,” Dateline is available across NBC, cable and in broadcast syndication, with hundreds of hours available to stream on Dateline 24/7 channel, as well as numerous #1 original podcasts. During the 2023-2024 Season, Dateline ranked as the #1 most-watched newsmagazine and true-crime franchise across all of TV, with over 128.1 million total viewers, according to Nielsen.
