'SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night' Docuseries

‘SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night’ is a four-part docuseries honoring the legacy of ‘SNL,’ with over 60 contributors, including ‘SNL’ alumni, and covering decades of ‘SNL’ history. Spotlighting some of the show’s most iconic elements, each episode delves into the rich history of ‘SNL’ and pulls back the curtain on the audition process, the writers’ room, the fan favorite ‘More Cowbell’ sketch and the pivotal Season 11.

Creator Lorne Michaels' long-running NBC sketch comedy series premiered Oct. 11, 1975, and is currently airing its 50th season. The documentary will showcase over 60 contributors reflecting on five decades of the longest-running sketch variety show on television.

In celebration of SNL50, also debuting Jan. 27 on NBC is Ladies & Gentleman… 50 years of SNL Music, while a live primetime special can be seen Feb. 16 on NBC and Peacock.
