NBCUniversal’s dedicated employees gave back across a wide array of programs designed to make a meaningful difference in the communities where they live and work.

NBCUnites, the company’s social impact initiative, remained focused on three key areas in 2024: building stronger communities, empowering the next generation of storytellers, and promoting media and technology skills. Several programs brought this mission to life and leveraged NBCUniversal’s assets to scale impact.
NBCUniversal Employees Volunteering
Over 13,600 NBCUniversal employees participated in more than 500 service projects across six continents. Their collective efforts contributed over 24,900 hours of service to nonprofits, directly impacting over 45,000 community members. From crafting care packages for children in hospitals to packing meals for those facing hunger, from revitalizing outdoor spaces to creating uplifting cards for those in need, our employees' dedication was inspiring.
NBCUnites Ambassador Program
The NBCUnites Ambassador Program again tapped new service leaders across the company. This one-year program empowered 26 ambassadors to spearhead 28 impactful projects, coordinating volunteer efforts and fostering mentorship and skill-building opportunities within their respective business units.
NBCUnites Talent Lab Experiences
NBCUniversal’s Talent Lab, in partnership with NBCUnites, offered employees several opportunities to enhance their skills and leadership development while directly contributing to the success of nonprofit partners. Through SERVE, HR-nominated participants continued to sit on one of the boards of NBCU's nonprofit partners, whose mission aligns with their passion and expertise. In PRO BONO, employees from all areas of the company (legal, human resources, marketing, and communications) served as consultants to nonprofits while developing related inclusive leadership skills. During INSPIRE, employees participated in a community service project side-by-side with local high school students from buildOn.
NBCUniversal’s Creative Impact Lab
In 2024, our signature Creative Impact Lab initiative donated over $18 million in media inventory, over $785 thousand in grants to nonprofit creative agencies, with 31 NBCU volunteers engaging with 50 young apprentices. Read more about the Lab’s progress in its 2024 report here.
The More You Know
Our public service campaign, The More You Know, continued to spark vital conversations on issues such as mental health, caregiving, and mentorship. Over 40 stars from across the NBCUniversal portfolio contributed to PSAs, social content, and a longform conversation aimed at educating viewers on pressing societal topics and empowering them to make a difference.
NBCUniversal’s Local Impact Grant Program
In 2024, our NBCUniversal Local Impact Grant Program awarded $2.5 million to 76 nonprofit organizations in 11 NBC and Telemundo owned television station markets. To date, the program has provided $18.5 million to over 500 nonprofits, supporting innovative solutions for the communities they serve.
