DreamWorks Animation's 'The Wild Robot' Takes No. 1 At the Global Box Office
The film made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, debuting with a flawless 100% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes and currently holding an impressive 98% rating.

The Wild Robot had an exciting global debut, opening with $53.9 million and marks the 25th time a DreamWorks Animation title has taken the top spot-on opening weekend at the domestic box office. In North America alone, it grossed $35.7 million over the weekend. Internationally, the film has now opened in 29 markets, where it has earned $18.1 million to date. Additional international markets will continue to open throughout the fall.
Based on Peter Brown's bestselling novel, The Wild Robot tells the captivating story of Roz, a robot who finds herself stranded on a remote island and embarks on a transformative journey of self-discovery, friendship, and survival. With its breathtaking animation, heartfelt storytelling, and an inspiring message about the power of community, the film has struck a chord with audiences of all ages.

The Wild Robot stars Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o (Us, The Black Panther franchise) as robot Roz; Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, The Mandalorian) as fox Fink; Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek, Best in Show) as opossum Pinktail; Oscar nominee Bill Nighy (Living, Love Actually) as goose Longneck; Kit Connor (Heartstopper, Rocketman) as gosling Brightbill and Oscar nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once, this summer’s The Fall Guy) as Vontra, a robot that will intersect with Roz’s life on the island.
