NBC and Peacock Kick Off the Fall with Three New Series

It’s premiere season and NBC is adding three new series to its fall slate. The upcoming family drama-thriller Line of Fire, partly inspired by the experiences of TODAY’s Jenna Bush Hager with Secret Service protection, follows the personal lives and careers of the fictional Hollingsworth family, each of whom work at a U.S. protective service agency. Newlyweds, a new comedy executive produced by Jamie Lee Curtis, stars real-life married couple Téa Leoni and Tim Daly. Finally, Emmy Award-winning Peacock original series The Traitors is getting a new iteration on NBC. The Traitors: New Blood, starring Alan Cumming, made its network debut with a special two-hour premiere. All three shows stream next day on Peacock. 

The Traitors: New Blood (9/17)

After several seasons of celebrity-fueled deception, Emmy-winning host Alan Cumming returned for a new broadcast iteration featuring everyday Americans in The Traitors: New Blood. Together, they traveled to the Scottish Highlands and stormed an ancient castle to navigate a winding game between Traitors and Faithfuls in hopes of building a prize fund worth up to $250,000.

The Traitors: New Blood new episodes air Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and stream next day on Peacock.

In a show of Traitors strength across the NBCU portfolio, Peacock just renewed the series for three additional seasons.

Line of Fire (9/21)

Starring Peter Krause, Hope Davis, Kat Cunning, Tommy O’Brien, Taylor Bloom, and Charlie Barnett, NBC’s new drama Line of Fire follows a family of law enforcement agents investigating cases for major government agencies, including the FBI, US Marshals, Secret Service, and the Department of Justice. Created by Joshua Safran (Gossip Girl) and produced by Universal Television for NBC, the series is inspired in part by TODAY’s Jenna Bush Hager’s real-life experience with Secret Service protection. The series faces the Hollingsworth family with a deadly conspiracy that will put their sworn word to the ultimate test. 

“It kind of springs from some experience that I had, having Secret Service,” said Hager in a May 2026 segment on Jenna & Sheinelle. “When you’re protecting other people, can you also protect the people you love?”

Line of Fire airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET and streams next day on Peacock.

Newlyweds (10/23)

NBC has added a fresh new multi-camera comedy to the fall lineup. Executive produced by Jamie Lee Curtis, who also appears as a recurring guest star, Newlyweds stars real-life married couple Téa Leoni and Tim Daly as free-spirited Jeanie and buttoned-up James, respectively. In the new sitcom, the two get hitched after a whirlwind romance, setting the stage for plenty of hilarious revelations as they adjust into married life. 

Newlyweds premieres Friday, Oct. 23 at 8:30 p.m. ET and streams next day on Peacock.

The three premieres are part of an exciting slate of returning fall shows on NBC, including the 30th season of The Voice,St. Denis Medical, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order, Happy’s Place, and Dateline NBC.
